Can anyone advise me on what cnc lathe i should get. I need to drill and bore 30mm titanium bar .I need a small machine(max 1m depth) because of limited space.A miyano BNC 340 has been recommended , but i cant find one.Hope someone can help

Probably be better with a few more details darren , for example depth and size of bore you are doing?

sorry for late response ,the depth of bore is 12mm and the size ranges from 15mm-23mm

Hi again,

the Miyano would certainly be a good machine. You could also try some of the Doosan range of machines which are probably a bit cheaper. You can see them at http://www.millscnc.co.uk/

The machinery exhibition is on at the end of the month at the NEC in Birmingham. Id suggest popping into there as not only will you see the whole range of machinery various suppliers have on offer, but you will likely get some really good show deals. We bought 2 new machines at the last show and got a great deal because we placed orders while the show was running.
